Mother of the year...

This is probably NOT what the Wedding Rings guy had in mind when he asked me to talk about his gorgeous loveley wonderful rings...

Thing1 still has the ring. (I however do not have pictures because until 3 days ago he thought he had lost the ring and that I would be mad because the Wedding Rings guy would be mad and make me pay eleventy kajillion dollars for not posting more pictures of the ring. Then, the ring was found. Hoorah.*) Last night, while out to dinner, Thing1's uncle noticed the ring and being the wonderful smart ass that he is (love him! ~ Hi Matty!) asked "Who are you married to?" To which Thing1 quickly responded: My Right Hand. I do not know whether he made the comment knowing full well what he was implying or if it took seeing his father and uncle's faces turning purple from laughter for him to realize what he had done. I don't think I like 13 anymore.

Not to be outdone, Thing2 proudly told his uncle (again, Hi Matty. Are you going to let me babysit your offspring some day?) that last week I hit him in the balls and made his tooth fall out. SIGH. OK, OK, while factual, my lovely Thing was being a bit misleading. The tooth was one we have been waiting to fall out. It was one the orthodontist was watching very carefully. It was hanging on by a spit thread. I did not knock out one of his firmly held teeth. Also, the balls were actually ONE ball. It was my big exercise ball that he was holding in his general ball region while seranading his brother with ACDC's Big Balls. I walked by mid-concert and while rolling my eyes, gave the thing a pop. This apparently startled my son so much his mouth closed quickly and the tooth broke loose. See, it's really not as bad as it originally sounded. No need to call CPS, I swear!

*I did not and will not receive any form of monetary compensation for pimping out Superior Wedding Rings. They sent me the ring and if I loved it, I would talk about it. I am not the one wearing it but I do still love it. It is regularly abused like only a 13 year old boy can do and there's not a scratch on it. It is shiny and gorgeous.

He's getting sc-hairy

This made me a little excited for him but little sad for me:

Did you see it? Here let me help you:
.
.
.
That's not just a dirty lip. He's got hair. Hair on his lip. Hair that is not whispy soft skin hair but instead is dark and coarse facial hair. Hair. On. His. Lip.

I swear I saw this a week ago and told him to go wash the dirt off his face. Yeah, I know. Bad Mom. What can I say, we often see what we want to see. And I wanted to see my precious little boy with a dirty face from playing, not my amazing young man who is getting a hairy lip.

So, when does the shaving start? I don't want to push it too soon but looking like you have a dirty lip is kind of gross. And, no middle school kid should have a stache. Seriously, just NO.

P.S.

Thing1 wears the ring all the time. And I mean All. The. Time. The girls, they love it. Apparently it's all kinds of cool. *sigh* Speaking of cool; he was just in a mini play where they acted out "The Bachelor, Disney Style" and he was the bachelor. Smooth, cool, very teen GQ with a tremendous amount of arrogance thrown in for fun. He played it perfectly. Two things struck me about his performance. He looked so natural and comfortable having the girls fawn all over him (eeek). He really needs new pants... that are long enough to cover the stilts he calls legs (more $ whooshing away).

P.P.S
Remember, if you want a cool ring of your very own or you just want to make me happy today, visit the Wedding Rings link on the right side of my page. Or just click here. They have beautiful stuff.

P.P.S.S.
Because part of the rights and priveledges of being a Thing Momma is being able to embarass the heck out of them, I give you:

Thing1- Paco Style

Happy Friday Y'all

I'm going to the Chapel...

...and I'm gonna get Maaa-aaaa-aaaried. Gee I really love him and I'm gonna get married. Going to the chapel of Looooove.

I've finally hit the big time. I had a request for advertising on my blog. See that little "Wedding Rings" linky to your right. That's it. That's all I had to do. I put up the link to Superior Wedding Rings and they sent me a ring of my choice within a certain price range. That sounds like a simple arrangement. Simple if you are anyone but Sassy.

You see, I am not actually in the market for a wedding ring at this moment. But I do like free goodies. So I made a bargain. If Superior Wedding Rings would let me select a ring that didn't look so weddingring-ish that was above the price range they gave me, AND I loved it as much as I thought I would, then I would write a series of posts documenting the life and times of the ring.

Here's the ring I chose:

It is an 8mm wide black tungsten carbide plaid band.

It is GORGEOUS! I <3 it.

However, it is also extremely manly (it was after all, from their men's collection that they sized to a dainty 7.5 just for me). And since SM's fingers are bigger than my thumb, I decided to pass it on to Thing1. That really was the only choice I had considering the minute this lucious ring fell out of the envelope Thing1 was tongue kissing. Obviously, he loves it. It looks great on him, don't you think?

He has a bit more growing to do before it will fit on his ring finger but at his current rate that should happen sometime next week.

I am really jealous that he has the brand new spiffy ring because I WANT ME SOME BLING! Speaking of Jealous, Thing2 offered to tattoo Superior Wedding Rings on his left butt cheek if they would send him a ring too.

If you are in the market for wedding bands, or just want a new bauble, I highly recommend that you go check this place out. You won't regret it.

*** Thing1 has agreed to let me document the adventures of him and the ring as long as I blur his face in the posts. Muwahahahahaha! If he only knew the plans I have for him.
